Hurricanes

Father God, as we see the images and hear the reports of the effects of the hurricanes, we pray that many will come running to Your mercy seat and trust in You and rejoice in Your salvation. We cry to You, Hosanna! Save now, O merciful King of the universe. We pray that many will say in their hearts, "Thy face, LORD, will I seek." Hear the prayers of those who call upon You in their distress and have mercy on them, and answer them.
Lord of the harvest, send forth laborers into Your harvest. Send Your anointed ones to preach good tidings to the meek, to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that You might be glorified. (Isaiah 61)
"Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear Him, upon them that hope in His mercy; To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine. Our soul waiteth for the LORD: He is our help and our shield. For our heart shall rejoice in Him, because we have trusted in His holy name. Let Thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in Thee" (Ps 33:18-22).
Now unto the King--Eternal, Immortal, Invisible,the only wise God, our Saviour--be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
