MINISTERING THE WORD OF RECONCILIATION
The Way of Faith

"By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed by going out to a place which he was to receive for an inheritance; and he went out, not knowing where he was going. By faith he lived as an alien in the land of promise, as in a foreign land dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, fellow heirs of the same promise; for he was looking for the city which has foundations, whose architect and builder is God" (Hebrews 11:8-10).

Personal relationship with God in the Old Testament showed itself in separation. Abraham was physically separated from his native country and his family. Sometimes today those nearest to us are separated from us mentally and morally because they don’t have a personal relationship with God. Jesus emphasized this in Luke 14:26 when He said, "If any man come to Me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple."

People of faith know and love the One Who is leading them even without knowing where they are being led. The attainment of character is the final stage in the life of faith. Proven character results from a life that has been tried and proved; it is a life of walking and not fainting. Their trust and belief are firmly rooted in the knowledge of a Person; it is a tried faith built on the true God.

Heavenly Father, spiritual darkness has covered our country. We cannot push back this shadow by the dim flickers of goodness inherent in our own character. Change us from the inside; we give our hearts into Your hands. Open the ancient doors that separate heaven and earth. Step again into the earth and into our lives in Your magnificent glory and shine through us so that the hearts and minds of men, women and children everywhere will notice You, and come to know You.
