Was Walking
7/20/2000
During prayer, I was prompted to read Psalm 27; I then received a vision.
I was facing towards Billings, Montana, from a street called Shiloh in the southwest area. As I was looking towards the rim rocks, they seemed to come together over in the east. Then I saw a man wearing a white robe with a hood that covered his face; he was carrying a cross. He was walking the city streets and people were looking at him in wonder, not knowing why he was doing this. Some were too busy to look very long; they just passed him by quickly, going on their way. Others did not seem to notice him at all. A few people even looked down from the rooftops at him as he walked by.
The man with the cross did not speak at first, but when someone questioned him he reached into what looked like a seed bag and gave a small booklet to them.
As the man continued to walk the streets, he occasionally asked people, “Can I pray for you?” A woman knelt down in front of him; he laid his hand on her head and she began to cry.
During the last part of the vision, I saw the man’s back as he walked down the crowded city street. A great number of people passed him by on both sides until I could no longer see him in the crowd. Eventually, all I could see was people passing each other in a hurry.
